Otti To Provide IT Skills Training To 10,000 Abia Women
The Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, the Enterprise Development Center, the Office of the First Lady, and the Abia State government claim they are working together to teach around ten thousand Abia women.

While briefing reporters on the results of this week’s Executive Council meeting, Prince Okey Kanu, Commissioner for Information and Culture, said that the program will concentrate on business support and capacity building, with a special emphasis on providing participants with the necessary information technology skills for their future endeavors.
“The program’s calls for applications will soon begin, and as you are all aware, this is aimed at enhancing Abians’ capabilities in a variety of fields, including SMES and independent IT specialists,” he stated.
“The state government’s primary goal is to make sure that the greatest number of people can obtain IT skills that will benefit them in the future.”
Additionally, Prince Kanu said that Governor Otti had supported the registration of twenty-six people for Cyber Security Certification exams. He clarified that the sponsorship had been given by means of the state Ministry of Digital Economy and SME’s.
Otti state’s goal, according to the information commissioner, is to have more cyber security specialists and stronger digital infrastructure.
“The goal of this initiative is to significantly raise the number of cyber security experts in the state,” he continued. Naturally, in this day and age of digital technology and artificial intelligence, this is the right course of action.
“In order for the government to help maintain security in all essential areas of governance, you have to have people who are good in cyber security.”
